Raid at Trippie Redd's mansion ends in attempted-murder arrest
SOUTHWEST RANCHES, Fla. — The target of Tuesday's massive police raid on Trippie Redd's South Florida mansion wasn't the rapper — it was a 25-year-old man wanted for attempted murder.
Miami police arrested Braveone Jones, also known as rapper BalloutDaDon, at Trippie Redd's $8 million Southwest Ranches estate around 6 p.m. Tuesday, TMZ reported. Jones had been wanted in connection with a September 15 shooting outside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Miami's Wynwood section.
Two men — ages 18 and 23 — were shot in that attack and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in serious but stable condition, according to NBC 6 South Florida. Police initially had no suspects and no clear motive.
Multi-agency SWAT operation
The raid was a major show of force. The search warrant at Trippie Redd's all-black, nearly 19,000-square-foot estate was executed by the City of Miami Police Department (leading the investigation), assisted by Davie Police, Fort Lauderdale Police, Sunrise Police, the Broward Sheriff's Office, the ATF, and Plantation Police SWAT, authorities told TMZ and XXL.
A Davie Police Department spokesperson confirmed to XXL that Jones was the target of the search and was taken into custody Tuesday.
Charges
Miami-Dade County online booking records show Jones is being held on two counts of attempted second-degree murder with a firearm, with $15,000 bond set on each count, TMZ reported.
Jones is a Trippie Redd affiliate signed to the independent label HAB ENT who has appeared on prominent livestreams, including N3on's. He released two projects in 2026, Yopstar and Yopstar Lyfestyle 2.
Trippie Redd not a suspect
Trippie Redd is not considered a suspect, and authorities have not said whether he was even home during the raid. The rapper, born Michael Lamar White, 27, bought the 19,000-square-foot, four-acre estate in 2022 and had the entire exterior painted black in 2024 — a makeover that went viral.
Trippie's team has not publicly commented. He is on the verge of releasing his first album in three years, NDA, and the follow-up #NDA.
The investigation remains ongoing.
