911 Dispatch Reveals Ken Urker's Final Hours

Headline card by The Night Desk

The last hours of Ken Urker's life are coming into focus — and they are heartbreaking.

Page Six has obtained the 911 dispatch call placed shortly after 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 1. The caller was Anita Blanchard — Gypsy Rose Blanchard's sister-in-law — requesting a wellness check on Urker after his boss, Justin Daigle, noted that he had failed to show up for work that day.

On the call, Anita told the dispatcher that Urker was in a "dark place," "has made threats to commit suicide," and "does own a gun." She believed, she said, that he had "killed himself." The call log also notes that Urker "was drinking last night as well."

The day before

The accompanying Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office incident report — also obtained by Page Six, and independently corroborated by TMZ, Entertainment Weekly, and Fox News — fills in Wednesday night.

Anita and her husband, Dylan Blanchard (Gypsy's half-brother), told investigators they had spent Wednesday with Urker. He joined them for church that evening and "made comments of being depressed and upset." Around 11 p.m., he went live on TikTok — the video showed only him driving, and he said nothing throughout.

By Thursday, Urker wasn't answering calls or texts. His boss flagged the no-show. Anita, Dylan, and Daigle drove to Urker's Raceland home — where a family friend had already spent over an hour trying to get inside.

What deputies found

According to the incident report, deputies recovered syringes and a spoon next to a brown powdery substance in the bathroom, plus a holstered handgun, two shot glasses, and a syringe on the nightstand. Deputies noted Urker appeared "to have been there for an extended period of time."

The report does not say the gun was fired, and it does not attribute a cause of death.

Where things stand

The autopsy was completed Friday morning, but the Lafourche Parish Coroner's Office says there is "no definitive cause of death" — the case remains pending toxicology. The sheriff's office continues to state there are "no signs of foul play" and that the death investigation is ongoing.

We have refused to speculate on cause of death since the first post, and we are not starting now. These are the facts as law enforcement documented them. The moment toxicology lands, this desk will have it.
